Aspen Highlands Deep Temerity Lift

Expect new terrain at Aspen Highland for the 2005-2006 ski season. In
early March, officials announced that they intend to construct the long
awaited Deep Temerity Lift. The chair will be a fixed-grip triple chair with
a ride time of about seven minutes. The chair will provide an additional
1,000 feet of vertical drop for the Highland Bowl and about 800 for
Steeplechase and Temerity. Along with the new lift, a second traverse will
be built and will run to the base of the triple chair. Over the summer, the
avalanche chutes will be cleared of debris and minimal logging will be
required to complete the project.
