Grand Lake

Lifts: 1 rope tow 450 feet long with a vertical rise of 150 feet
History: Grand Lake Ski Area was located on the opposite side of
Grand Lake from town.  It was a jumping hill in the early 1930, but a rope
tow was later added in 1945.  The Colorado Tramway Board has the tow
listed in 1972, '73, '75 and '77.  A typical season was from December
15th to April first.  The area also offered slalom courses and jumps.
Directions: 16 miles from Granby on Shadow Mountain.
